EA has been throwing the weight of multiple studios at the next instalment in the Battlefield franchise for a few years now, and it seems like we’ll be seeing the final result not long from now. At the company’s recent quarterly fiscal call (via VGC), CEO Andrew Wilson suggested the same, confirming a release window for the first-person shooter.
According to Wilson, the next Battlefield is set to launch in FY 2026, which will run from April 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026. Given the fact that most new Battlefield releases tend to target year-end release windows, that might suggest the next game in the series will launch sometime in the final months of the year. Sure enough, leaks claimed about a year ago that the game was targeting an October 2025 release, and it sounds like that might still be the plan behind-the-scenes.
EA recently announced a new community testing program for the next Battlefield, stating it wants the community to “play a key role in the future” of the franchise. Read more on that through here.
