The process for verifying games on the Steam Deck can take some time, meaning a rating won’t always be present on release day. However, we’re now very glad to report that Sonic X Shadows Generations has earned the best rating possible on the best handheld gaming PC.

Yes, Sonic X Shadow Generations is Verified by Valve for the Steam Deck with no footnotes on performance or compatibility.
It may have taken a little while for the Verified rating to show, but the great performance of Sonic X Shadow Generations on Steam Deck is now reflected in its rating.
The game runs great on high settings and can be locked to 60fps for the best experience. When playing the Shadow portions of the game, however, you may notice some slight visual hiccups that will temporarily drop the frame rate to as low as 55fps.
This great performance unfortunately comes at a cost to the battery, however. You can expect the game to drain your juice quite fast, with around two hours of gameplay expected. You can try to extend this by lowering the TDP setting in the options menu, but game performance may be impacted.
