What are the PUBG system requirements? PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is already seven years old, which means running it on your gaming PC is an easy task, provided you’ve got a relatively new setup. However, if you’re working with older hardware, fear not, as the minimum specs are obtainable for systems up to a decade old.
PUBG doesn’t demand the best graphics card but if you’re chasing the highest fps possible, it will certainly help. If you want to know what the best PUGB settings are, we have a handy guide to help you there too.
Here are the PUBG system requirements in 2024:
Minimum | Recommended | |
OS | Windows 10 or later | Windows 10 or later |
GPU | Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 AMD Radeon R7 370 |
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 AMD Radeon RX 580 |
CPU | AMD FX-6300 Intel Core i5-4430 |
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Intel Core i5-6600K |
RAM | 8GB | 16GB |
Storage | 40GB | 50GB |
The PUBG minimum requirements are very low, but not far off what many triple-A 3D games are demanding in 2024. You’ll need an Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R7 370 paired with an Intel Core i5-4430 or AMD FX-6300. Only 8GB of RAM is required, which is refreshing given how many games now push for 12GB or even 16GB at the minimum tier.
If you can meet these specs, you can expect 30fps gameplay at 1080p using the lowest graphical presets, although you might need to adjust your render scale slightly depending on your exact components.
As for the PUGB recommended specs, there is a little bump up across the board, with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580 GPU needed alongside a Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel Core i5-6600K. The RAM requirement doubles at this level with 16GB being required.
Meeting these specs should get you solid 60fps gameplay at 1080p using either medium or high graphical presets, with no need to adjust the render scale.
The PUBG download size sits at a modest 40GB in the minimum specs, increasing to 50GB at the recommended tier. This difference may be to allow for higher resolution textures to download but this isn’t specified on the Steam store page. An SSD isn’t required, but I’d recommend using one of the best gaming SSDs to reduce your in-game load times.
