Two acclaimed skating games by U.K. developer Roll7 appear to have been delisted on both Steam and Xbox, after the studio was shuttered and its publisher Private Division sold off last year.
OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome are no longer available to buy from either Steam or the Xbox Store. Notes on both games’ Steam pages say they are “no longer available on the Steam store,” and they no longer show up in searches. However, OlliOlli World remains available from the PlayStation and Nintendo stores, and Rollerdrome can still be bought on PlayStation.
sbjelectronics has contacted Take-Two Interactive for comment. Take-Two is the former parent company of both Roll7 and Private Division, and Take-Two’s publishing label 2K Games is listed as the publisher for both on Steam.
In May 2024, it was reported that Take-Two would close Roll7 and Kerbal Space Program 2 developer Intercept Games and lay off the “vast majority” of Private Division staff. At the time, CEO Strauss Zelnick denied that the studios had been shuttered. But in November, Take-Two admitted to the closure of both studios and said it had sold Private Division to a mystery bidder.
Take-Two said the buyer had bought the rights to “substantially all” of Private Division’s live and unreleased titles, but the fate of back catalog titles like Rollerdrome and OlliOlli World is not clear. It’s possible the games’ partial delisting is just a hiccup as their rights are transferred to the new owner.
Let’s hope so — they’re good games! OlliOlli World is a tough but brilliant sandbox skateboarding game, and Rollerdrome is a thrilling roller-skate shooter. It would be a shame if they both became unavailable.
